1throne Weighs-In on Game of Thrones S2 Premiere
(April 1, 2012)
Game of Thrones, season 2, premieres tonight on HBO. The 1throne is keenly aware of this, as it is keenly aware of all things.
First off, many of you have no doubt complained to HBO, as 1throne has, about the title of the series. "Thrones" as opposed to "Throne." There is indeed only 1throne, and if the fantasy genre is to be taken seriously by the mainstream, such absurdities must be terminated with extreme prejudice.
Second, the books are a wonder. It is also a wonder how HBO can butcher them so thoroughly and still be left with a top-rated series. This latter fact, especially, is a testament to George R.R. Martin, the books' writer, who is a good friend to 1throne (potentially). He is a kind man. And I hope it will not embarrass him if it's revealed he is a phenomenal sitter; 1throne is an authority on such matters. If you further doubt, please consult this photo.

But it is the third matter to be discussed that is most important. It appears some people watch the HBO hit show who have not read the books. They then have the gall to tweet and holler and talk about how great the series is, how they "love" it!
This trend is disturbing as not only is the HBO series an abomination when compared with the books, but five-books have already been written. The books are four-years ahead of the series. If these "human beings"—and I use the term loosely—love the plot as much as they claim, surely they'd satisfy their longing by spending $10 for the next book!
1throne knows what you're wondering. How can they "love" Game of Thrones but not buy the books? It says something about love in today's world. Frankly, it doesn't exist. Yet another reason why 1throne prefers to be feared than loved.
Decree of the day: The entire series of the Game of Thrones must be read before watching the HBO series! And, for clarity, that includes Dunk & Egg. Punishment for disobedience: banishment from 1throne.com! Yes, 1throne's ire has been raised to that extent.
In other news, 1throne heard from a source there is in fact a second throne somewhere on God's green earth. However, it's unclear how reliable this source was. He looked like a fool. An April fool.
